Magia sobre nuestras cabezas

¡ Buenos días bellezas!

Hoy os voy a escribir sobre una increible mujer que tuve el honor de conocer mientras encontraba a mi familia en Londres. Ella es una Maestra en lo que a fabricación de sombreros se refiere y una legenda viva en este sector. Durante veinte años estuvo trabajando para la Reina de Inglaterra como su sombrerera oficial y ha entrenado durante su vida a los que ahora a los mejores de Inglaterra y su nombre es Rose Cory.

Pues bien, durante una semana estuve haciendo un taller con ella lleno de aprendizaje, diversión y, por supuesto, humor inglés ;) Siempre tiene alguna historia interesante que contar sobre sus encuentros con la Reina y su carrera  como la mejor sombrerera de la historia inglesa. Pasé unos ratos muy buenos con ella, pero lo que más me impactó fue su simplicidad y humildad. Es una persona entrañable.

Aquí os dejo una foto con algunas amigas mientras trabajábamos en su taller con sus diseños alrededor. El blanco con la flor roja es uno de los que hice, así como el pequeñito de seda color champán.. ¡ Espero que os gusten !

 

Mientras estaba allí, aproveché la ocasión para visitar a mi distribuidor. He estado haciéndoles pedidos de materiales durante años pero nunca llegué a ver su tienda física. Tienen una cantidad de cosas increibles, todas relacionadas con la sombrerería por supuesto; una amplia colección de plumas, cintas, fieltro, sinamay..  ¡ Es impresionante !

HATS MAGIC

Morning beauties!

Today I'm gonna write about an amazing woman I had the honor to meet while I was in London a few weeks ago for a lovely family reunion and a bit of work too. She is a master hat maker and a living legend in this field, she has been making hats for the Queen Mother for about 20 years and has trained at some point almost all the best milliners in England.

I did a week training with her and it was filled with fun, learning and english humor ;) She always has some interesting story of her meetings with the Queen and her work career with the best milliners in the english history. I had a lovely time and it struck me her simplicity and humility, she is such a lovely person.

Here's a picture of some friends working in her workshop with their hat designs, the white big hat with red poppies it's one of my makes, as well as the little silk champagne colored pleated hat… Hope you like them!

While I was there I went to visit my millinery supplier too, I have been ordering my materials from them for years and I never saw their shop but they have an amazing stock and really extensive collection of feathers, ribbons, straws, felts, sinamay… Amazing! here's some pics for your eyes joy :)
